Tatiana Millare
Tatiana Dolly Millare of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on October 2, 2012 at the age of 14. She was a student.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Guillermo Millare, Sr. and Dolores B. Millare.
She is survived by her mother, Bernadine Lancaster; father, Derek Millare; sisters, Jaimelee Victor, Tiara, Taylor, and Kailana Millare; brothers, Derek Boy Millare and Nainoa Millare; and grandparents, Ermine Akuna & Bernard Lancaster Sr.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Borthwick Kauai Memorial Chapel, Koloa. Visitation will begin at 8:00 am, with service at 11:00 am, cremation to follow.
Celebration of her life will also continue on October 12, 2012 at Lihue Baptist Church. Family suggests green aloha wear. Service will be held at 10 am, burial at Kauai Memorial Church to follow. Luncheon will be at 4330 Nani St., Puhi.

Luella “Tida” Moniz
Luella “Tida” Leilani Kelekoma Moniz of Anahola died peacefully at home on September 30, 2012, at age 76. Born on February 12, 1936, she was a retired Housekeeping Supervisor with Kiahuna Plantation.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Moniz Sr.; parents, Franklin & Luella Kelekoma; brothers, Franklin Kelekoma Sr., Alexander Kelekoma; sister, Darlene Oshiro; and step-mother, Delores Kelekoma.
She is survived by her seven children, Gilbert (Elvera) Moniz, Wilson (Tammy) Moniz, Kelvin (Janel) Moniz, Kawika (Sherry) Moniz, Moku (Clover) Moniz, Shana (Sami Soni) Tupou, Melinda (Robin) Correa; brothers, Clay (Leonora) Kelekoma, Ainsley (Linda) Kelekoma, David (Christina) Kelekoma; sister-in-laws, Tomie Kelekoma, Molly Kuhaulua; brother-in-law, Al Oshiro; step-brother, Mark (Stephanie) Arthur; 23 grand children, 12 great-grand children; and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary, Koloa. Viewing will begin at 9am with service to follow at 11am. Scattering of ashes will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012-12pm at Hanamau’lu Beach.
Casual attire is requested.

Violet Ferreira
Violet Ferreira of Lihu’e died at home on October 1, 2012, at the age of 92. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 5, 1919 and was a dedicated homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ferreira and son-in-law, James Harris.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Pat (Richard) Moniz of Oahu, Yvonne Ferreira-Martin of Texas, Rose Harris of Lihue’e; sister Adelaide Aveiro of Oahu; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Church. She was laid to rest with her husband at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Ferreira family with arrangements.
Satsumi Izuka
Satsumi Shirley Izuka of Hanapepe, Kauai, died on April 27, 2012 at KVMH at the age of 75. Born on June 23, 1936, in Port Allen, HI, she was a Mess Sergeant with the U.S. Army.
She is survived by her brothers, Daniel (Charlotte) Denichi Izuka of Aiea and Charles (Judy) Ryoichi Izuka of Honolulu; sisters, Alice Akiko Tsukiyama of Hanapepe and Nancy Yumiko Serikawa of Kailua; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private services were held.
