The public is invited to learn more about protecting, minimizing or preventing the risk of wildfire during a Firewise presentation Thursday at the Koloa Neighborhood Center from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Hosted by The Grove Farm Co., there is no cost to attend and interested residents and their ‘ohana can learn useful information on ways to better protect and safeguard their property against wildfires.
Denise Laitinen of Firewise will be discussing a community wildfire plan, which was developed a few years ago.
The National Fire Protection Association’s FireWise Communities program embraces the approach that everyone has a role to play in protecting and minimizing or preventing the risk of wildfire.
