Mokihana Aquatics will be hosting a qualifying swim meet Saturday and Sunday at the Kaua‘i High School pool.
Coach Orlando “O” Anaya said the qualifying meet will allow swimmers an opportunity to qualify for the upcoming Bill Smith Invitational swim meet on Oct. 27 and 28, hosted by the Kamehameha Swim Club.
Anaya said while the primary purpose is to qualify for the invitational meet, which has a deadline of Oct. 19, swimmers can also use the meet to better their performances.
In addition to the qualifying swim meet, which opens October for the Mokihana swimmers, Anaya said Mokihana Aquatics is currently taking orders for its annual Christmas tree sale from Oct. 1 through Nov. 18.
Tickets are available for both Premium Douglas Firs from six feet through 12 feet in height and Noble Firs from six feet through 12 feet in height.
The trees will be available for pickup behind Bicycle John’s in Lihu‘e on Nov. 30 from noon until 6 p.m.
Tickets are available from any of the Mokihana Aquatics swimmers as well as at the qualifying meet this weekend.
