Kevin Cadiente got a lot of cheers, but came up short, Saturday. Kevin, one of the Kaua‘i High School trainers, was selected to participate in the “Pass, Punt and Field Goal” for a 2013 Ford Escape by Midpac Auto Sales during the halftime of the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation football game.
Mike Tresler filled out three forms and wasn’t selected and Rick Renaud wanted to know when the next contest was so he could practice.
Earlier, Keith Burgess was busy at the KIF cross country race and still had to work the football game as did coach Richard Matsumoto.
Congratulations to Kaipo Kealalio and the Island School ‘ohana on a great course and race. We do it again in two weeks for the KIF Championships.
Brandon Moises, the Waimea coach, said Hazzard McDougall could run in the Saturday race because Waimea had the bye, and Brandon got help from Basilio “Bunga” Fuertes who was definitely excited to be at the race.
Now, we get ready for Round 2 of volleyball tomorrow night.
