KILAUEA – One lane of Kolo Road from the Pili Road junction to the eastern end of Kolo Road will be closed for a week starting today, according to a news release from the County of Kaua‘i.
The closure will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The closure will allow work crews to make the necessary repairs to the roadway, which served as a temporary bypass after the heavy rains in March.
Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the area, observe all construction signs and traffic control devices and to allow extra traveling time to reach their destinations.
