Jobie Masagatani of the Hawaiian Homes had a lot of her staff in Anahola (anyone stop at DeFries Lunch Wagon?) for the groundbreaking of Pi‘ilani Mai Ke Kai, Phase II (Blaine Fergerstrom did a great job emcee-ing the event) and there were no shortage of photos, or video since Gov. Neil Abercrombie and Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. were also present to help with the celebration for 51 future homes.
KipuKai Kuali‘i said he just moved to Anahola (purple house?) and is thrilled to be one of the future homeowners in the project.
Was great to run into Nick Gallante during the blessing of the portable buildings for both the Kanuikapono and Kawaikini schools, Saturday morning. Wendall Kam even made it to the cross country to watch his son Koa Kam start and finish the race. Mahalo to Leilani Spencer for getting the word out so we could make it.
Alyssa “Malu” Vegas didn’t have to wear the gray shirts since she was part of the timing crew and Ralph Suniga, Kevin Cadiente and Keith Burgess had a full day helping at the races and still working out at the football game.
