LIHU‘E —The Kaua‘i Police Department released its “most wanted” list Friday to notify residents about individuals charged with serious crimes that have outstanding warrants issued for their arrest.
Sheryl Marie Pimental, 40, is wanted for a contempt of court charge issued on Aug. 7 and again on Aug. 27. She failed to appear for a jury trial hearing for first-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and a second-degree theft charge.
A hearing to recall the bench warrant was set for Sept. 20.
Her bail is set at $12,000 with the bail amount on the underlying charges remaining at $10,000.
Pimental is a Caucasian female with a light complexion. She is 5 feet, 1 inches tall, approximately 170 pounds with a muscular build, with brown eyes and medium-length brown hair. There was no residence listed for her.
Summer Loke Texeira, 34, of Lihu‘e, is wanted on four counts of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, five counts of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug charges stemming from a May 8 arrest. Her bail is set for $9,000.
Texeira is a Caucasian female with a fair complexion. She is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, approximately 185 pounds with a large build, brown hair and brown eyes.
Loretta L. Navales, 40, no residence listed, is wanted for drug trafficking charges that include second-degree promotion of methamphetamine, third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, weapons, and third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug.
Bail is currently set at $7,150.
Navales is a Filipina female. She is 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs approximately 115 pounds with a small build, has short brown hair and brown eyes.
Norman K. Akana Jr., 37, no residence listed, is wanted on a warrant for first-degree arson.
His bail was set at $10,000.
A grand jury indictment from July 26 states that Akana is charged with setting a July 27, 2010, fire with intent to cause the property of Merle and William Honjiyo to be burned in the amount exceeding $20,000.
Akana is a Hawaiian male with a tan complexion. He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, approximately 235 pounds with a large build, with brown eyes and black hair.
