Mahalo to Milani Pimental for the 7 a.m. text about the start of AYSO, Region 940 soccer! Last week, Madeline Hiraga-Nuccio said she had soccer at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Sports Park, but that must have been AYSO, Region 941.
Ron Kosen of PhotoSpectrum was busy juggling the Pop Warner 50th anniversary parade, an AYSO soccer game and a senior shoot, all within a short timeframe.
Lenny Rapozo was doing the same thing, handling Pop Warner, coaching an AYSO game, kalua a pig, and officiating a football game. Kudos to Jon Kobayashi and the Waimea ‘ohana on a great cross country invitational and mahalo to Major Victor Aguilar for the update on the air riflery scores. Kurt Toma missed the match because he was in Koke‘e, but didn’t miss cross country and it was a big event because Robert Tamura had his family all the way from Lihu‘e.
With all that, breakfast is at the Lihu‘e United Church (they’re washing cars, too!), according to Jewel Asai. Breakfast is from 7 to 10 a.m.
