Helen Hamamura
Helen Hamamura of Kapaa, Hawai‘i, died on August 20, 2012 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. She was born on January 16, 1928 in Kapaa, Hawai‘i. She was a Service Representative with GTE.
She is survived by her sons, Dave (Naomi) Hamamura of Lihue, Glen (Brenda) Hamamura of Pensacola, FL, and Jon Hamamura of Kapaa; daughters, Emily (Jason) Kurashige of San Mateo, CA and April (Patrick) Gragas of Makawao, Maui; brother, Robert Tsuchiya of Los Angeles, CA; sisters, Eleanor (Harry) Sasaki of Lihue, Elsie (Gordon) Koigawachi of Kapaa, and Gladys (Herbert) Yamashiro of Honolulu; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Kapaa. Visitation will be at 9 am, service to begin at 10 am. Family suggests casual attire and no flowers.

Mary Abigania
Mary Manzano Abigania of Lihue, Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i passed away on August 24, 2012 at the age of 81 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on January 27, 1931 in Waimea, Kaua‘i, she was a retired Nurses Aid at Wilcox Memorial Hospital and Samual Mahelona Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Angela Manzano; and her husband, Rufo Abigania.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Dela Cruz, Nancy Abigania, Vicky Abigania, Christine Abigania, Alice Abigania Deloatch, Brend (Ho Tai) Zerba; sons, Louis (Edith), Michael (Arminda), Robert (Doris), Richard (Tess), Glenn (Sharon), and Reynold Abigania; sisters, Sally Manzano Damasco, Carmen Manzano Summers, Lorraine Manzano Rouse; 31 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday September 6, 2012 at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel. Visitation from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Service at 7:00 p.m.; inurnment on Saturday September 8, 2012 at Veterans Kaua‘i Cemetery at 9:00 a.m.

Alphons Schornack
Alphons (John) J. Schornack, of Wahiawa, Hawai‘i, died on August 9, 2012 in Wahiawa at the age of 75. Born in Indonesia on June 20, 1937, he was a veteran in the U.S. Army and was a retired engineer.
He is survived by wife, Lydia Schornack; sons, Richard Schornack, Alan Ross and Isaac Ross; daughters, Brenda Haggerty, Tanya Schornack and Michelle Shofner; brother, Wally Schornack; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held on September 7, 2012 at Kaua‘i Veterans Center, 3215 Kapula Hwy., Lihue, Kaua‘i. Visitation at 3:00 pm.
Service at 4 pm. Family requests no flowers and casual attire.
