LIHU‘E — A parade scheduled for Saturday will celebrate 50 years of Kaua’i’s Pop Warner Football League, according to a county news release.
The parade is set to begin at 8 a.m. at the Old Historic County Building and end at Vidinha Stadium.
To accommodate the event, streets along the parade route will close from 7:30 a.m.
Road closures will include: Eiwa Street, between Hardy and Rice streets; Rice Street, from Haleko Road to Ho‘olako Street; and Ho‘olako Street, from the south stadium entrance to Rice Street.
Officers will be manning the closures and will keep the roads closed until the parade is over.
Motorists should allow additional time to get to their destinations as traffic delays are expected.
