Brian Yamamoto said the Okinawa Christian College of Nursing students have been here for a week.
Friday night, he escorted professors Ken, short for Kenichi, Yamamoto and Sachiko Takahashi to the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau Fair.
Basilio “Bunga” Fuertes said he had to be good since he was escorting all the women from the Waimea Senior Center. Jimmy Okada was doing the same at another part of the fair and since Waimea town was at the fair, Maxine Torres of the Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital had her entourage of residents in the commercial tent.
Josie Pablo of the Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital had her residents and staff at the fair Thursday night and they actually stayed late because they took in the opening ceremonies after viewing the 4-H Goat and Lamb show.
Mahalo to Lori Miller and the Kaua‘i Hospice ‘ohana on their congratulations for the Healthcare Association of Hawai‘i award … yep, we all had stuff to do … couldn’t make the Honolulu trip.
Kudos to Melissa McFerrin and all the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau ‘ohana on a great fair!
