Valorry Montero
Valorry “Val” Kuulei Montero of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on August 20, 2012 at the age of 57. Born on April 16, 1955 in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Cherie Mendes; and brother, David A. Mendes.
She is survived by her husband, Juan Montero, Kapaa; daughter, Aprillani (Matthew) Montero, Kapaa; sisters, Carole (Ahosivi) Akoteu, Kapaa, Cherie (Elton) Kahalekai, Wailua Homesteads; and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews & friends.
Private services will be held.

Teddy Sharp
Teddy Collier Sharp of Princeville, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on August 17, 2012 at his residence in Princeville at the age of 69. He was born on May 10, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri. He worked for the New York Stock Exchange as a Securities Specialist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond & Alta Sharp.
He is survived by his son, Brian (Melissa) Sharp, Connecticut; daughters, Haley Sharp, Princeville, Alana Sharp, Princeville; brothers, Michael (Marilyn) Sharp, South Carolina, Raymond (Betty) Sharp, Arizona; and 1 granddaughter.
Celebration of his life will be held at St. Regis Hotel, Hanalei Suite on Sunday, August 26th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Family suggests Aloha attire.

Al Beralas
Al Beralas of Lihue died at home on August 21, 2012, at the age of 89. He was born in Bagued, Abra, Philippines on January 12, 1923, retired as a tractor driver with Lihue Sugar Plantation and was a US Army Veteran of WWII with the 1st Filipino Infantry Regiment.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juliana; and son, Clayton.
He is survived by two sons, Allan Beralas and Ronald Beralas, both of Lihue; three daughters, Ginger (Hank) Soboleski of Kapaa, Yolanda (Dennis) Yacavone of Oahu, Debra (Frenchie) DeGracia of Lihue; brother, Domingo (Cris) Beralas of Hanamaulu; sisters, Maggie Galardo of Hanamaulu, Monica (Urong) Ragudo of California; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8;00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Desmond Mundon
Desmond Dwight Mundon of Kapaa, Kauai, died on August 15, 2012 at the age of 36. He was born on September 3, 1975 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a laborer and landscaper.
He is survived by his wife, Punani Lee Mundon; sons, Quinten Mundon, Leeland Planas, and Levi Mundon; daughters, Khloey and Leeani Mundon; parents, James and Cynthia Mundon; brothers, Jim (Kelsey) Mundon, Gavin (Jessica) Mundon, and Chris (Sherlynn) Mundon; sisters, Gaylene (Tyrus) Mundon, Crystal (Cullen) Mundon, and Shana (Michael) Mundon-Dasalia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Visitation at 10:00 am. Service to begin at 11:30 am.
Family suggests casual attire and flowers are welcome.
A Celebration of his life will be held on September 2, 2012 at Kalapaki Beach Park at 11:00 am. Arrangements by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
William F. MacAdam
William “Bill” Francis MacAdam, former resident of Haena, died at his home in Lafayette, California on June 5, 2012 at the age of 79. Bill was born in Media Pennsylvania, on January 23, 1933. He was a commander in the United States Navy and was Range Operations Officer at PMRF Barking Sands from 1970 to 1975. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tina; and his sister, Joyce.
Bill is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey (Constance) MacAdam of Lafayette, California; Stuart (Christine) MacAdam of Adelaide, South Australia; four grandchildren, Caitlin, Samuel, Alex, and Bonnie.
His family will come together at Haena in July 2013 to celebrate his life and scatter his ashes into the sea.
Bruce Mossman
Bruce Mossman, 52, died at Pali Momi Hospital on Oahu, August 14, 2012.
Bruce is the special needs son of Georgia and Ralph Mossman of Wailua Homesteads. He is also survived by his two brothers, Brad Mossman of O‘ahu and Jay Mossman of Kapa‘a; one niece, Allegra Mossman of Oahu; and two nephews Lt. Reyn Mossman stationed in Kuwait and Nicholas Mossman of Wailua.
In the next few weeks, there will be a small gathering of Mossman family and friends for a spreading of Bruce’s ashes.
Remembrances can be made in Bruce’s name to the Association for Retarded Citizens which is incorporated with Easter Seals and can be sent to 3201 Akahi Street, Lihue, HI 96766.
Larry Zarate
Larry Zarate of Kapaa died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on August 14, 2012 at the age of 50. He was born in Arizona on June 20, 1962, and was a carpenter with the Carpenters Union.
He is survived by his father, Manuel Zarate of Arizona; mother, Cecilia Gutierrez of Texas; sons, Anthony & Austin Zarate of Washington; brothers, Fred Zarate and Nick Zarate of Texas; sisters, Irene Kelly of Texas, Rachel Encinas of Oregon, Delicia Rodriguez of Arizona, Kelly Palacios of Illinois, Danielle Juarez of Arizona, Janina Olvera-Lara of Texas; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held at Lewallen Garcia Pipkin Funeral Home in Midland, Texas. Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Zarate family with arrangements.
