Yoshito Nakashima of Eleele, Kauai, died on August 14, 2012 at Home at the age of 87. He was born on September 21, 1924 in Hanapepe, Kauai. He was a Business Manager/Owner of Ventures Associates, Inc.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Imakichi and Koto Nakashima; brothers, Masao and Henry Nakashima; and sisters, Esther Floyd and Florence Pippin.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Nakashima of Eleele; sons, Ross (Patricia) Nakashima of Kalaheo and Jon Nakashima of Hanapepe; daughters, Sybil Oishi of Honolulu and Carol (Val) Tokuuke of Eleele; brothers, Mitsugi (Marjorie) Nakashima, Clarence Nakashima, and Richard (Helene) Nakashima; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins .
Memorial service will be held on August 25, 2012 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Eleele. Visitation at 3 pm to 4 pm. Service to begin at 4 pm. Inurnment will be at the church columbarium.
Family suggests casual attire, and that flowers be omitted.

Teddy Collier Sharp of Princeville, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on August 17, 2012 at his residence in Princeville at the age of 69. He was born on May 10, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri. He worked for the New York Stock Exchange as a Securities Specialist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond & Alta Sharp.
He is survived by his son, Brian (Melissa) Sharp, Connecticut; daughters, Haley Sharp, Princeville, Alana Sharp, Princeville; brothers, Michael (Marilyn) Sharp, South Carolina, Raymond (Betty) Sharp, Arizona; and 1 granddaughter.
Celebration of his life will be held at St. Regis Hotel, Hanalei Suite on Sunday, August 26th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Family suggests Aloha attire.

Harold Aukai Naumu of Lihue, Kauai passed away at his home on August 16, 2012 at the age of 82. Born on July 29, 1930 in Hanapepe, Kauai, he was retired from the County of Kauai.
He was preceded in death by his parents Aukai Wailele & Violet Aiu Apao Naumu; brothers, David, Wallace, Leilehua & Castle; sisters, Violet ‘Honey’ Young, Dora Hao, Helen Kaneakua, Judy Stewart; brothers in law, Abraham Hamm Young, Joseph Hao, Harry Kaneakua, Enoka Kaohi & Gene Murata; sister in Law, Rose Ruiz Naumu; Son in Law, Anthony Balocan.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Shinagawa Naumu; sons, Harold Wallace Naumu & Robb Naumu; daughters, Doreen (Chris) Tamura, Laureen Naumu-Balocan; grandchildren, Daurice (Clifton) Tamura Arruda, Teresa (Brent) Tamura Amoy, Cy Tamura & Sean (Sarah) Tamura; great-grandchildren, Akoni ‘AJ’ Arruda, Aukai Arruda, Ayven Arruda, Aries Arruda, Brayden Tamura & Ethan Tamura; brother Arnold (Linda) Naumu; sister Minerva Kaohi; brother in law, Edwin (Betsy) Shinagawa; sisters in law Elizabeth Naumu, Janet Naumu, Janine Naumu, Joan (Don) Masuda & Ann Murata; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Monday August 27, 2012 at the Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue. Visitation will be from 4:00pm – 5:30pm. Followed by services at 5:30pm.
Al Beralas
Al Beralas of Lihue died at home on August 21, 2012, at the age of 89. He was born in Bagued, Abra, Philippines on January 12, 1923, retired as a tractor driver with Lihue Sugar Plantation and was a US Army Veteran of WWII with the 1st Filipino Infantry Regiment.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juliana; and son, Clayton.
He is survived by two sons, Allan Beralas and Ronald Beralas, both of Lihue; three daughters, Ginger (Hank) Soboleski of Kapaa, Yolanda (Dennis) Yacavone of Oahu, Debra (Frenchie) DeGracia of Lihue; brother, Domingo (Cris) Beralas of Hanamaulu; sisters, Maggie Galardo of Hanamaulu, Monica (Urong) Ragudo of California; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8;00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
