LIHU‘E — The water conservation request for the Kekaha and Waimea areas has been reinstated by the county Department of Water until further notice due to power restoration to its water storage tank, according to county officials.
The Department of Water thanks customers in Kekaha and Waimea for their conservation efforts and patience while work was being done to get the storage tank back to full capacity.
The Department of Water is urging all of Kekaha and Waimea to continue limiting water consumption to essential uses only, such as cooking, bathing and toilet flushing. The water level at the tank is low and limiting water consumption will help to reduce the likelihood of a total water outage.
For more information, call the Department of Water at 245-5461 during business hours, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or police dispatch at 241-1711 after business hours.
