The County of Kaua‘i is partnering with Menehune Food Mart on the sale of Kaua’i Bus passes, according to a press release.
Beginning Monday, monthly bus passes will be available at all locations of Menehune Food Mart, including: Kilauea, Kapahi, Lawa‘i and Kekaha.
Bus passes cost $25 a piece via cash transaction during business hours.
Menehune Food Mart is the second business to collaborate with the county on the sale of Kaua‘i Bus passes. Pono Market started selling bus passes in May, according to the release.
Monthly bus passes can also be purchased at the Lihu‘e Civic Center at the motor vehicle registration window Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., except on holidays.
One or six month ($120) or an annual ($240) bus passes are available at The Kaua’i Bus office located on Ho‘olako Street, across from police headquarters.
For the mainline routes, individual fares are $2 for adults, while seniors and youths ages seven to 18 pay $1 for one-way travel.
Children, six and under, ride free when accompanied by an adult.
Fares for the shuttle routes are $0.50 for adults and $0.25 for seniors and youths ages seven to 18.
