WAILUA — Brandon Carvalho was a triple winner as the weather created epic track conditions at the Wailua Motocross track Sunday.
Hosted by the Kaua‘i Motocross Riders Association, the track conditions under overcast skies yielded multiple winners throughout the field, which was led by Brandon Carvalho topping the 250EX class, the 450EX class and rounding out his top finishes in the open A class.
Cory Goias-Soares was another triple winner, capturing top honors in the 50A class run on the main course, over Richard Silliman and Alexander Nelson. He also won in the quad keiki class over Tori Santiago and Kamu Santiago, and rounded out his winnings in the 65B class where he topped Kory Bunao, Richard Silliman and David Carvalho.
Kilikai Ahuna finished with dual wins, taking the 85A class over Treysen Barretto, and topping the Open B class with another win over Barretto.
Randall Osakoda was another dual winner capturing the vets class over Chava Greenlee and topping the 450AM class over Bryson Yoro and Jesse Jefferies.
Rodel Domingo rounded out the dual winners, taking the big bike beginner class over Aaron Victorino, Art Rosqueta, Dean Silliman and Jim Littlefield, before topping the masters class over Craig Arzadon and Jim Littlefield.
Kaimana Kaui topped the 50C class over the efforts of Adam Martin, Dustin Costa Brum, Eddie Silliman and Colt Jefferies while Talan Goias-Arzadon topped the 50B class over Po‘okela Silva and Channyn Moke.
Dylan Swanson topped the 85B class in one of the bigger fields of the day, taking the class over Teagan Amorin, Bryzen Cadiz, Kory Bunao, Traytin Barretto, Derek Swanson and Talon Jefferies.
Stephanie Victorino edged out Kelsey Kei in the keiki wahine division with Paul Medeiros capturing the quads class.
Kimo Azares was tops in the 250AM class over Bryson Yoro’s efforts.
Brian Barretto of the KMRA said the group appreciates all the volunteers who turned out to help with the track preparation Saturday
“The track conditions were perfect and would not have been in such great shape had it not been for the members and volunteers who came out,” he said.
The next KMRA motocross is the 58th annual Labor Day Motocross and Hare and Hound trail race, which is the biggest race of the year, held during the Labor Day weekend on Sept. 1 and 2 at the Wailua Motocross Track.
