Camela Sasan
Camela Sabala Sasan of Puhi passed away peacefully at the Regency at Puakea home on July 4, 2012 at the age of 79. She was born in Waimea, Kaua‘i on March 21, 1933. As a trained licensed practical nurse she worked at all three hospitals on Kaua‘i and was at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital when she was retired in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred G. Sasan; brothers, Julian Sabala and Richard Sabala; sisters, Esperanza Takabayashi Lacuesta and Rosita Santiago. She is survived by her son Frederick (Lori) Sasan, daughter Melanie (John) Borales; sisters, Juanita Umipeg and Eleanora Manaday; brother, Sunday (Paciencia) Sabala; grandchildren, Malia (Colin) Ceda, Joshua (Mackenzie) Rapanot, Iris (Joe) Rapanot, Scot Sasan, Jonathan Borales, Lorinda Sasan; great-grandchildren, Andrew Rapanot, Derek Terzi, Zipporah Ceda, Ananiah Ceda, Josiah Ceda, Isaiah Ceda; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A remembrance ceremony of her life will be held on Saturday at Lihu‘e Missionary Church, located at 4383 Rice St., with a family visitation beginning at 9 a.m. and the services to follow at 10 a.m. Inurnment and committal ceremonies will be held on Monday at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens, 4716 Ma‘alo Rd. at 10 a.m.

Concepcion Gambeng
Concepcion “Conching” Suniga Gambeng of Lihu‘e died at Straub Clinic & Hospital on June 28, 2012, at the age of 87. She was born in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on September 12, 1924, and retired as a landscaper with Kaua‘i Nursery and Landscaping.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nemesio B. Gambeng, son, Milfred Gambeng, son-in-law, Ricarte Cuadro, grandson, Andy Paul Gambeng and great-grandson, Michael Timothy Gambeng. She is survived by one sister, Martina E. Saoit; seven children, Leticia (Amado) Gamiao, Franklin (Yolanda) Gambeng, Edwin (Aniceta) Gambeng, Nancy Cuadro, Marlyn (Ali) Domingo, Evangeline (Sam) Gasmen, Jeffrey (Mimi) Gambeng Sr.; 29 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

Chloe Godfrey
Chloe M. Godfrey died on June 29, 2012 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. She was born on December 17, 1929, in Honolulu, O‘ahu.
Preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Jeanette Harper; a brother, Tom Harper, Jr; and a grandson, Brian T Nagamine, Jr.
She is survived by her son, Darryl (Tammy) Espeleta of Wailua Houselots; four daughters, Shanlynn (Brian) Nagamine of Hanapepe, Lani Harthcock of Lihu‘e, Chalette (Vernon) Souza of Oma‘o and Jeanette Godfrey of Lihu‘e; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held on Saturday at the Breath of Life in Lihu‘e. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Services to follow, light refreshments after. Private scattering of ashes will be at a later date.
Family suggests casual attire and flowers be omitted.

Richard Rabago
Richard L. Rabago died on May 18, 2012, at the age of 68. He was born on August 14, 1943 and was a 1961 graduate of Waimea High School. He was a retired aerospace designer and taught martial arts for more than 40 years in Torrance, Calif.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Rabago; and brother, Glenn Rabago.
He is survived by his mother, Rose Rabago; wife, Sharon Rabago; daughters, Donna (Dennis) Pleta; Dayle (Tsuyoshi) Takakusagi; son, Rick Rabago; grandchildren, Dustin, Danielle, Melia, Jarett, Kylan, Jaden and Jerrick; brothers Robert (Pat) Rabago and Marvin (Patty) Rabago; and sister Jocelyn (Dean) Uyehara; and numerous family members and close friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 4, 2012 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Westside Christian Center Assembly of God, 8041 Kekaha Rd., Kekaha.
Manuela Agballog Domenden
Manuela Agballog Domenden of Kealia passed away on July 10, 2012 at the age of 89 at Queens Medical Center, O‘ahu. She was born on May 22, 1923 in Ilocos Sur, Philippines. She was a homemaker.
Preceded in death by: parents, Geronimo and Josefa Agballog; husband, Benny Domenden; sister, Margarita Somera.
Survived by: sons, Francisco (Rosaly) Domenden, Lihu‘e; Alejandro (Rosaline) Domenden, Kapa‘a; daughter, Melinda (George) Santhany, O‘ahu; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa. Visitation is at 8:30 a.m. Service at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Lihu‘e Cemetery.
