Happy Camper for Monday, July 16, 2012
Wendy Hashiguchi of Sueoka’s was lamenting the fact that Donn Villanueva was having his last day of work after five years because he was moving to Honolulu for school.
Na‘ea Oda didn’t have to play golf so she spent time helping dad Kerry and mom Cindy at the Po‘ipu craft fair. Originally, the fair was supposed to be in Hanalei, but Judy Webb had to move it to Po‘ipu. The fair was still a success. Aletha Thomas said she had a new white pineapple addition to her Monkeypod Jam line … gotta check that one out.
Valerie Murray is ready for the Koloa Plantation Days! She runs the Koloa Town Salon which used to be the first radio transmission long distance station for telephones. She was getting coffee Saturday and is trying to figure out a float for the parade.
Kelvin Moniz made it a point to get water for his East Kaua‘i Lions who were volunteering at the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank drive at Kmart (they loved the shade and the wind) on Saturday.
And if you need things to do during the week, check out Randall Francisco, Carol Texeira and Chantal Zarbaugh at the Kaua‘i County Council Forum, Tuesday starting at 6 p.m.
