LIHUE — Kaua‘i is in its peak summer season and mainland travelers are reminded to show up at the Lihu‘e Airport early, two hours before their flight, said Sue Kanoho, executive director of the Kaua‘i Visitors Bureau.
“Lihu‘e Airport has the largest number of direct flights it has ever had and is moving a lot of people through the airport,” said Kanoho.
“Visitors showing up to check in 30 to 45 minuts before their mainland flgihts are finding themselves missing their flights due to poor planning, which in turn leaves a bad memory of their vacation,” she said.
She also reminded guests to take into consideration some of the traffic and construction activies islandwide when planning their departures.
