Have you checked out the seven-on-seven football games at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Sports Park? Kapa‘a High School coach Keli‘i Morgado had to miss Saturday’s game because he just became a papa (Congratulations, coach!) and coach Brandon Fujita said he was going to text coach a message. And, it was nice to see shooters Manny Henriques and Ron Kosen.
Kaua‘i coaches Dr. Scott and Trent Shimabukuro were busy at the Grove Farm swap meet (Shelly Gerardo said she forgot to bring fliers for the Lawai Cannery event benefiting the Kaua‘i Special Olympics, this Sunday) and despite the gray and windy weather, Kenny Miyoshi and Calvin Fukushima were still pumping Masa’s Shave Ice.
Hats off to David Murray for getting the All Saint’s Episcopal Church community market off the ground, too! They’ll be back on the first Saturday of next month.
