On July 5, Kaua’i Society of Artists had an opening reception at their exhibit space in Kukui Grove Center. Featured were artwork by Rebecca and Reggie DeRoos. Dozens of beautiful creations, painted by the couple were put on display for the first time.
Every half hour, prizes were given to people who signed up for the random drawings. Prizes included artwork, bags of coffee and combinations of both. The couple were ecstatic to have their artwork put on display for the public for to see.
Curious onlookers were in awe at the number of paintings that decorated the walls of the Kukui Grove exhibit. The DeRooses spent more than three decades creating wonderful scenic masterpiece — masterpieces that spent the majority of their lives inside of the couple’s home. The DeRooses said they would like to thank the island of Kaua’i and its people for the inspiration of their art.
