Jennelle Timmons beat out Jonah Hensley by 30 seconds to take the inaugural 4 on the 4th run Wednesday benefiting the Waimea High School athletic program.
Timmons, running in the Women 18-99 category, finished the four-mile run in 27:00.00, edging out Hensley, a runner in the Men 17-and-Under category, who stopped the clock on a 27:30.0.
Sarah Beatty finished top in the Women 17-and-Under division at 35:35.00 followed by Brooke Frasco, who recently participated in the Media Camp at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School. Frasco, who was representing Waimea Canyon Middle School, finished at 43:34.00, tying Royce Faye for runner-up honors.
Pulama Nitta (51:56.00) and Niiyane Santiago (55:07.00) rounded out the field.
Following Hensley, Jaron Parongao filled in the runner-up position in the Men 17-and-Under on a 29:35.00 run, just nine ticks ahead of Henry Delos Reys (29:44.0). Micah Quinlan (33:26.00) edged out Austin Borja-Haumea (33:27.00) by a second with Michael Olores and Kaiken Roe finishing in a tie for sixth place at 37:23.00.
Following Timmons in the Women 18-99 division, Emily Laroque (27:36.00), Rebecca Brazil (27:53.00), Taryn Dizon (29:22.00) and Tammie Quinlan (30:34.00) rounded out the leaderboard for that field which included 26 runners.
