HANALEI — A Sunday brunch at the Makana Terrace for two is just one of the premiums awaiting volunteers who turn out for the 11th annual Hanalei Beach cleanup Thursday from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Hanalei Pavilion Beach Park.
The brunch is one of the prizes which will be given away following the cleanup.
Other prizes include two rounds of golf at the Princeville Makai Golf Club, or a Princeville Ranch Adventure “Kids Adventure Center” for two.
Volunteers are welcome to join the cleanup effort and should bring gloves, a hat and sunscreen.
Refreshments will be provided between 7 and 9 a.m.
Each year, Independence Day celebrations leave unexploded fireworks and fireworks debris on the Hanalei Bay shoreline, states a release from the St. Regis Princeville Resort, one of the sponsors of the cleanup.
This year’s event is supported by Makai Golf Club, The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas, Wyndham Vacation Resorts, Hanalei Bay Resort, Princeville Ranch Adventures, the County of Kaua‘i and residents and visitors who come together to make this a successful community event.
Call Kelly Kaona at the St. Regis Princeville Resort at 826-2218 for more information, or to sign up as a volunteer.
