Listen up coffee lovers: Kaua’i Coffee Company offers everything you desire — including dozens of free samples, an ocean view and a Goliath selection of locally-grown coffee found nowhere else in the world.
Located at 870 Halewili Rd. in Kalaheo, the visitor center opened its doors in 1998, showcasing one of the most technologically advanced coffee production facilities in the world.
The inside of the visitor center is truly a sight to behold. A wide-array of historical references from the early days of coffee in Hawai’i to the present, going back all the way to the 19th century, is monumentally displayed. It’s a wonderful learning experience, while enjoying fantastic coffee.
If you stroll to the middle of the visitor center, you will find its heart and soul: The cafe. It is there where your eyelids will open up to the huge selection of free samples — 27 in all, ranging from flavored, medium roast, dark roast and decaf.
Iced Decadence
One the best parts of the Kaua’i Coffee experience is treating yourself to the “Iced Decadence.” One of the most popular drinks offered at the visitor center, the Iced Decadence is a delicious combination of chocolate, caramel, coffee, ice and ice cream mix. This decadent mixture truly melts in your mouth. Aside from the onolicious, sweet flavor, it is the locally-grown coffee mix which is distinct and full-flavored. The 16 ounce Iced Decadence is priced at $4.50 and is a wonderful treat to any coffee enthusiast.
Ingredients
