Welcome to Kaua‘i to the HIADA! Gregg Gonsalves (he was helping at the Menehune Food Mart makeover with Calvin Paleka and the Kapa‘a High School football boys) said this group of athletic directors make recommendations to the Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association board in regards to sports for the next school year.
HIADA will be meeting at the Kaua‘i Marriott Resort and Beach Club (koi feeding at 9 a.m.) until Saturday, said Diane Nitta of the KIF.
Kudos to Jackie Kanna, Marty Amaro, Theresa Koki and all the Life’s Choices crew who spearheaded the makeover at the Menehune Food Mart. Shawn Smith said he never thought he would run into as many people as he did during a stop, there, and one customer said he thought they were giving away free stuff because of the crowd.
Leah Aiwohi was spearheading the video crew and Nancy Kanna and Marynel Valenzuela (she’s been all over town, last week) were doing the check-ins.
OK, ‘nuff said…it’s bon dance so gotta go visit Winston Kawamoto, Brian Yamamoto and all those Kapa‘a Hongwanji Mission people…Flying Saucer time!
