NUKOLI‘I — Rayvin Raquel, Josaya Ahuna, Makala Ventura and Caitlin Ventura went home with new bicycles and accompanying safety helmets last Saturday from Wilcox Health’s Kids Summer Fest at Kaua‘i Beach Resort.
In addition to the wealth of information, activities, and fun offered up by the Wilcox Health with support from Ferring Pharmaceuticals and Kaua‘i Beach Resort, there were selected winners drawn from completed passports that were stamped as the participants toured the different exhibits and activity stations.
Katie Gallo of the Wilcox Health Marketing and Communications department said there were numerous winners for 30-minute massages, $100 gas cards, a dinner for two at the Kaua‘i Beach Resorts and watches from Nui Fashions.
Some of these include Jamery McCarthy, Jackie Sowa-Yim, Kawika Bynum, James Dingus, Aimee Leonard, Madison Leanio, Mitchel Evans, Gloria Curammeng, Michael Depue, Cairee Quinones, Caitlin Telles, Chanel Quinones, Cashie Boiser, Coltin Mills and Sandi Nakano.
“Wilcox Health has organized this free community health event to teach Kaua‘i’s keiki and their parents about the importance of safe and healthy summer fun,” said Drs. Brigitte Carreau and Derek Johnson, co-chairs of this year’s event. “We hope the Kids Summer Fest helps to create more awareness about making healthy life choices and preventing keiki injury during their play time this summer.”
Wilcox Health, comprised of Kaua‘i Medical Clinic and G.N. Wilcox Memorial Hospital, is committed to helping patients on Kaua‘i receive the best medical care.
