LIHU‘E — Registration is being accepted for the Infant and Preschool Aquatic Program by Mokihana Aquatics, which will offer three sessions starting June 4 at the Kaua‘i High School pool.
Newborn infants to age 4 are eligible to participate in this learn-to-swim program.
Registration is $75 per swimmer for the two-week program and classes include ‘Ohana Keiki, which includes newborn to 35 months with Caregiver and Tiny Tots for keiki 3 to 4 years old.
Swimmers in the ‘Ohana Keiki program must wear Little Swimmer pull-ups, and Tiny Tots swimmers are required to wear swim caps.
Girls should wear one-piece swimsuits; no rash guard shirts or jewelry is allowed.
The first session runs from June 4 through June 15, the second session is from June 18 through June 29 and the third session starts July 2 and runs through July 13.
Swimmers meet from 1:45 to 2:15 p.m. and 2:15 to 2:45 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the Kaua‘i High School pool.

In addition to the Infant and Preschool program, Mokihana Aquatics is also offering Learn to Swim classes for Beginners and Advanced swimmers as well as an Ocean Safety class.
Eligibility is for swimmers 5 years old and above with registration fee of $125 for the first child and a $25 discount for each additional family member.
Swimmers in the Beginners class meet 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and from 11 a.m. to noon Saturdays at the Kaua‘i High School pool.
Advanced swimmers meet 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
In addition to the Learn to Swim programs, Mokihana Aquatics will offer an Ocean Safety Class, which meets 3:45 to 4:15 p.m. Wednesdays at Kalakapi Beach.
Each Learn to Swim session comprises 14 hours of instruction with the first session starting May 28 and running until June 13, the second session starting June 18 and running until July 3 and the final session starting July 5 and running until July 20.
All swimmers required to wear swim caps and no rashguard shirts or jewelry is allowed.
