Firefighters extinguish Hanapepe structure fire

 HANAPEPE – Firefighters have left the scene of a fire that occurred at a water pump station located off Ko Road in Hanapepe, according to a county news release.

The blaze that began at about 1:30 a.m. today was fully extinguished by 10:30 a.m.

Inspectors continue to investigate the cause of the fire, although foul play is not suspected.

No injuries were reported.

Engines 3,5 and 6, Trucks 5 and 6, along with Rescue 3 personnel and police responded to the scene.

An estimate of damages has not yet been determined.
