Happy birthday to Michael Gregg of Ka‘apuni Nursery (those cucumber starts sure looked good!) and Bianca Palmer of Barkaroo!
Both Cinco de Mayo birthday babies were working on their special day and Melissa McFerrin said Aletha Thomas wasn’t at the Saturday market because she just became a new mama (congratulations to Annika Kalae Newton who was born Monday!) Now, don’t forget Mother’s Day is Sunday!
We don’t know where Sandy Poehnelt of The Right Slice was (maybe she was at the hospital with Aletha), but Kim Tamaoka was happy because she found her Mother’s Day gift at the expanded version of the Kaua‘i Community Market where vendors of Kaua‘i Made goods joined the Kaua‘i Grown crowd.
Daphne McClure (she’s a mama, too!) had some of Sandy Poehnelt’s apple pie, and her marketing person, Sandi Kato-Klutke (she’s a mama, too!) was with Denise Wardlow, Christina Gabriel and the visitor industry people doing the Countdown to Charity Walk (that’s on Saturday!) at Kukui Grove Center.
But before all that, it’s time to check out Sue Kanoho and Maka Herrod as they welcome the Disney Lines’ cruise ship.
