Tax Day is pancake day for the North Shore Lions Club, which will host its annual Pancakes and Hula Breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. on April 15 at the Hanalei School cafeteria.
Tickets are available through any of the North Shore Lions Club members, or by calling Don McConnell, event chairman, at 652-3129.
Additionally, due to the popularity of the North Shore event, Lions Club members will be manning ticket tables in front of the Foodland stores in Princeville from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 11- 13.
On April 14, the Lions will be hosting ticket sales at Ching Young Village from 8 a.m. through 6 p.m. and at the Hanalei Farmer’s Market from 9 a.m. until noon.
“In addition to great pancakes and everything which goes with them, there will be hula and local-style entertainment, prize giveaways and a silent auction,” McConnell states in a news release. “Of course, take-outs are also available.”
On tap are pancakes prepared by Gary Pacheco and Wayne Tanji, and scrambled eggs, breakfast meat and an assortment of fresh fruit.
The Pancakes and Hula Breakfast is a major fundraiser for the North Shore Lions Club. Proceeds will finance several projects, including scholarships for North Shore students and free vision and hearing testing for seniors and students.
