PAKALA — A storage shed in Pakala was destroyed by fire Saturday night. A Kaua‘i Fire Department spokesman said Engine 7, Truck 7, and Engine 6 responded to an alarm for a fire that broke out at about 10:28 p.m.

A Kaua‘i Fire Department spokesman said Engine 7, Truck 7, and Engine 6 responded to an alarm for a fire that broke out at about 10:28 p.m.
Approximately 3,000 gallons of water were used to put out the fire.
It was reported under control at 10:48 p.m. and fully extinguished at 10:53 p.m.
There were no reports of injuries or damage to other structures.
An estimated $15,000 in damages was caused to the 1,000-square-foot wooden structure and its contents, authorities said.
The cause of the fire was being investigated.
