Boys and girls ages 9 to 18 who are interested in participating in the first Kaua‘i NBC Basketball Camp should submit their applications now.
Josh Burton, the Kaua‘i camp director for the camp June 12 through June 16 at island School, said there will be a limit of 50 players accepted for the co-ed day camp.
The camp will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during its five-day run. Participants will learn confidence under pressure, teaching through competitive scenarios, offensive and defensive fundamentals, creating scoring opportunities, competitive games and drills, ball handling and effective passing and shooting.
Players attending camp need to bring a basketball and be attired for basketball, and also bring lunch, water and a medical release form.

The registration fee is $50 for all five days, and enrollment is limited to the first 50 youth registering.
The NBC Camps will be making its debut on Kaua‘i this summer. Described as the world’s largest overnight basketball camp, the program will host a “Complete Player Basketball Camp” at Island School.
The NBC Camps program has been training athletes for success on and off the court since 1971. The program was designed by former Division I college coaches and players to help athletes excel in every aspect of the game.
