LIHU‘E — Travel around the world and explore forgotten myths and unusual legends as Island School’s fifth grade presents “Around the World in Eight Plays” March 2 and 3, according to a press release.
The performances are at 7 p.m. at Island School in Puhi.
In Patrick Greene and Jason Pizzarello’s “Around the World in Eight Plays,” the audience will be guided by a band of roaming gypsies, from Africa, where a young girl dives into the river and meets an old woman with only one arm and one leg, to the Russian countryside, where a poor orphan must defeat three witches who stole his grandfather’s eyes, the release says.
Each year, Island School’s fifth grade class puts on a full-length production for school and public audiences, according to the release.
Tickets are $4 in advance, $15 for a Family Pass and are available at the Island School Office and from cast members.
Admission is slightly higher at the door. To reserve your advanced tickets, call director, Peggy Ellenburg at 246-0233.
Island School is located in Puhi, directly behind Kaua‘i Community College.
