Come Monday, she’ll have an additional Ruby Grapefruit, Caracara, Meyer Lemon creation ready.
Check her out Wednesday at the Gourmet Market at The Shops at Kukui‘ula.
Aletha was helping the Aloha Spice shop behind the Banana Patch, and Sandy Poehnelt of The Right Slice took advantage of Aletha’s appearance to visit.
The Hanapepe stop was nice after spending time visiting the Waimea Town Celebration where Bunga Fuertes was talking about “the perfect smoked meat” recipe with Lawrence Nishihara (he’s Mel Nishihara’s brother) and Barbara Kutis of Racine, Wis., who said she tells her girls they’re the “kutis” girls in town.
Glenda Miyazaki was super busy, juggling between the malasadas offered by West Kaua‘i Methodist Church and the fried fish and fishpond hosted by Waimea Canyon School.
