Cammie Matsumoto was spending the day before the big ACF Breakfast shopping at the Kaua‘i Community Market (Melissa McFerrin is getting excited about going to the big Philadelphia Flower Show) and Chef Clarence and Muriel Nishi were thrilled, selling more than 30 tickets for the big shindig Saturday.
Sandy Poehnelt of The Right Slice is bummed because no one has cherries for National Cherry Pie Day (you can get some from Chef Ryan Theis at the Regency at Puakea).
S. Morris Wise of Island Biscotti was enjoying his second day at the Kaua‘i Community Market ,and Lyn McNutt said Kaua‘i Nut Roasters got a new regular source for macadamia nuts, celebrating with a new “Furikake Mac Nut” offering.
Larry Feinstein was going to try the crepe place (They’re only two weeks old at the market, too), but had to settle for something else. Oh well, there’s always next week.
