A dozen bills have been introduced that aim to restrict the powers of the controversial Hawai‘i Public Land Development Corp., an agency that passed quietly into law last year. But it’s unlikely that anything will come of them because they have to go through Sen. Donovan Dela Cruz, chair of the Senate Committee on Water, Land and Housing, who created the corporation.
