HONOLULU – In a state with high unemployment, Hawaiian Airlines is hiring. The company announced this week that applications to fill up to 175 flight attendant jobs can be submitted online until Feb. 14 at www.HawaiianAir.com/AboutUs/Employment-Oppor tunities.
The new jobs are to match expanded services Hawaiian Airlines announced to Japan on April 16, and the company’s plans to open a new route from New York on June 7 and a third flight between Honolulu and Los Angeles on June 7.
Hawaiian Airlines is reintroducing nonstop daily service between Maui and Los Angeles beginning June 21, and increasing to daily flights between Honolulu and Seoul on July 16.
Hawaiian Airlines has more than 4,200 employees, the most in the company’s history, and plans to increase its workforce by an additional 500 employees this year, the company said.
