Members of the Sunset Bridge Club in Princeville have won regional team titles at the tournament in each of the last three years.
The Sunset teams of Robert Smith and Judy Smith, and Loring Harkness and Dileep Bal, topped 36 teams to finish first overall in the Sunday Stratified Swiss Teams competition at this month’s regional tournament.
The team of Doug McCalla and Patti Moore, and Robert Smith and Judy Smith, finished third out of nine teams in B racket 2 of the Friday-Saturday Compact Knockout Teams competition.
The team of Loring Harkness and Libby Noronha, and Dileep Bal and Harjinder Ajmani, finished fifth and sixth overall of 14 teams in the Tuesday Stratified Swiss Teams competition. The team of Loring Harkness and Doug McCalla and Dileep Bal and Harjinder Ajmani, finished seventh overall in the Wednesday Senior Swiss Teams, and the pair of Dileep Bal and Harjinder Ajmani finished sixth overall in the Aloha Charity Open Pairs competition.
The Sunrise Club plays ACBL-sanctioned bridge at 9 a.m. each Thursday (open game) at the Princeville Community Association Building.
