Happy birthday to Renee Haines who spent her special day working (She said it’s the Times Supermarket steak and shrimp on Friday!).
Debbie Odo might be from Honolulu, but has a lot of Kaua‘i connections like the Bulatao’s and the Parongao’s and more. Debbie was helping Val Saiki (her special day is Feb. 1) with the American Lung Association in Hawai‘i (Debbie said this is the new name for the organization).
Marissa Purcell is waiting for her due date, too! She said she wants an early birth since she’s born early in the year. OK, so Andrea Frainer said with all these people waiting on babies (Casey Quel is going to have an early-in-the-year baby, too), wait until first lu‘au time.
Marissa Martinez and Malyssa Manera are two of the Kaua‘i High School girls basketball team managers and got to take the court, Monday night as the county and KYBA (Happy New Year, Karen and Steven Matsumoto!) launched its youth winter program at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
Willy Aki is busy with the Kapa‘a girls basketball program so Kekoa Colipano stepped in and did a great job coaching the Kaua‘i Ballers.
OK, it’s off to King Kaumuali‘i Elementary School’s Career Day!
