Petty Officer Ryan Snay picks up trash along Kaumuali‘i Highway during a roadside cleanup last month as a tethered horse waits patiently for Snay to leave so it can resume grazing. The Pacific Missile Range Facility at Mana adopted four miles of highway adjacent to the base in support of the State Department of Transportation’s Adopt-a-Highway program. More than 30 sailors participated in the highway cleanup, collecting more than two dozen bags of opala.
