LIHU‘E — Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. will meet with community members in Hanapepe, Kapa‘a, Kekaha and Koloa in January as part of his pledge to meet with communities throughout the island annually.
In February, Carvalho will meet with community associations in Kilauea and Hanama‘ulu. Later in 2012 he will host community outreach meetings in Kilauea, Lihu‘e and Kalaheo, according to a press release.
On Jan. 5, the mayor will host a meeting at Hanapepe Neighborhood Center, where the mayor and staff members from his office will update residents on the Lima Ola Green Affordable House project in ‘Ele‘ele.
Also on the agenda are discussions on the new police substation at the Hanapepe Armory, the Kalaheo Community Garden and town vendor issues.
The mayor will host meetings in Kapa‘a on Jan. 11, Kekaha on Jan. 25 and Koloa on Jan. 26.
