Happy birthday to Barbara Bennett who celebrated her special day on the same day Randall Francisco hosted the annual Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce Christmas party, Thursday at the Kaua‘i Marriott Resort and Beach Club. Melinda Uohara (she got to ride with Barbara during the Lights on Rice parade) was in attendance along with all the media folks including Ron Wiley, Jason Fujinaka, J Robertson (he even got to emcee the event), Andy Melamed and his KQNG Radio Group, and John Wada and the FM97 crew.
Of course, the attention was well deserved since Stephanie and Chris Davis of Cariloha had a booth where people could not believe the softness of bamboo.
Santa (ask him where his last stop is) was in all his glory, but having the time to visit with Keegan and Kellen Tracey of Chicago who could not believe Santa was already in Hawai‘i.
And he even had time to chat with Arleen Yoshimori, Shirley Tottori, Gloria West and Amy Butac (they were all thrilled) of the Marriott banquet crew.
OK, this is it … time to go check out the KIF boys soccer season which opens today starting at 4 p.m. at Vidinha Stadium.
