The Zonta Club of Kaua‘i (Elle Lloyd, you are missed!) is ready for its holiday campaign now that the Salvation Army Community Thanksgiving Lunch is over.
Scott Giarman, executive director of the Kaua‘i United Way, was busy helping after receiving a nice contribution from Kathy Miyake and the employees of Central Pacific Bank, and Randall Francisco, director of the Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce, stopped in to thank the many businesses who contributed to enable the Salvation Army with its annual community feed.
Hats off to Major Mario Reyes, and Lt. Sarah Smuda and their respective planning committees for doing such a bang-up job with the event appreciated by all.
Moksha McClure did a great job behind the microphone (I believe J Robertson was doing the honors in Hanapepe) and Larry Rivera was his usual great self, headlining the entertainment.
OK, now that the turkey is done, it’s time to check out Kim Tamaoka (it’s her first year) and the Garden Island Federal Credit Union at the Christmas Parade (Jason Fujinaka is the emcee at the judges’ stand) at Kukui Grove Center.
