LIHU‘E — Kaua‘i Veterans Council is asking for the community’s help with contributions for its annual Christmas Party for veterans and their families from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 11 at Kaua‘i Veterans Center.
Ed Kawamura of Veteran Helping Veterans and co-chair of the event said the annual Christmas party features benefit counseling and workshops for veterans followed by lunch and activities to foster fellowship among veterans and their families.
He said contributions, both financial or door prizes of merchandise or services, are being asked of the community.
“Every year, the success of this event has been because of the kind-hearted donors and the dedicated volunteers who display the Christmas spirit of giving in order to share the happiness of the season,” Kawamura said.
Contributions are appreciated by Dec. 6.
