KOLOA — The Hawai‘i State Legislature’s Public Access Room, a division of the Legislative Reference Bureau, will be offering a series of free workshops starting Saturday at noon at the Koloa Public Library Conference Room.
During the workshops titled “We the Powerful!,” people will discover the public’s power in the legislative process. Topics include: Do you want a say in which state laws get passed, or don’t; do you want to make a difference; would you like to find information and track activity on the Legislature’s redesigned website; and do you want to be part of finding solutions.
Following the Koloa Public Library presentation, PAR workshops will be hosted Nov. 14 at the Waimea Public Library starting at 6:30 p.m.
On Nov. 15, the PAR workshops will be held at the Lihu‘e Civic Center, Mo‘ikeha Building, rooms 2A-B at 6 p.m.
Princeville Public Library is the PAR workshops’ stop on Nov. 16, starting at 6 p.m.
On Nov. 17, the PAR workshops will be held at the Hanapepe Public Library starting at 6:30 p.m. and the final stop will be on Nov. 18 at the Kapa‘a Public Library conference room starting at 6 p.m.
Suzanne Marinelli, the public access coordinator at PAR, will lead the presentations.
