2011 is not as good as it gets! On the contrary, this is about as unsustainable and unbalanced as our planet can tolerate (see Part 1). We are now thrashing about trying to find a way out of our human predicament.
This is a mentally driven error, and ego mind can not resolve it. Buckminster Fuller said that for every problem resolve, we create three new ones. All our wake-up calls are demanding an entirely new approach.
The chart below suggests that we are now ending the juvenile, make-believe, façade-self phase that has now materialized our dysfunctions into the physical plane so thoroughly and universally that we can no longer ignore them. The paradigm shift we have been talking about is deeply psychological; the effect of this dysfunction manifests in the real world as unsustainable imbalances. Nature always pays the price.
We pretend (false self) that the ego personality (false self) is not dysfunctional. The ego program has displaced the true self/essence and taken control of our lives. Ego is so prevalent that we have lost sight of the forest for all the trees. That makes the ego a psychosis, not just a neurosis. The challenge after thousands of years is to finally enter our era of species maturity and break free from the overgrown tyrannical superego that compounds ego dysfunction.
In the next few columns we will look at where we may be going: species maturity and retrieval of our true essence.
