Essential needs include cooking, bathing and toilet flushing. Water conservation measures include refraining from car washing, reducing outdoor irrigation and using water conservatively and wisely indoors and outdoors. Residents are also asked to notify neighbors of this urgent request and encourage participation, the release states.
DOW is troubleshooting an electrical problem that occurred at the Kalaheo well site this morning. DOW water pumps have not been able to replenish the water supply in the storage tank serving the area. A crew is working with KIUC to identify and repair the problem, the release states.
