Brenda Jose figured out how to get around the blackout period — wear a poster! Unfortunately, while working on her Leadership Kaua‘i project, she forget her shoes. But that didn’t stop her from walking in the Kaua‘i United Way Walk-a-thon, Saturday.
Major Victor Aguilar had Junior ROTC cadets involved so had to stay at home while his wife was on O‘ahu for the Junior ROTC competition, there.
Bryan Yamamoto came to help out with the Kapa‘a High School Interact Club. Joan Kealalio had to come since Nellie Okamoto (it’s her birthday, soon!) was on O‘ahu to watch Chaz play tennis for the University of Hawai‘i.
Cory Oride is home with T.J. Kua and the men’s University of Hawai‘i golf team at the collegiate invitational which started Sunday at the Puakea Golf Course.
Saturday, the golfers were mixing it up in the annual fundraising tournament. Wayne Miyata said Kenji was thrilled to be paired with the Ching boy and Pono Tokioka was in the mix somewhere.
Jaime Amimoto couldn’t play because of his cold (mom Sherry was disappointed Westy Kessler is on vacation until the 7th).
In the meantime, Happy Halloween! Stay safe!
