LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation named its cross country all-star team this week.
The field of 12 is led by KIF Champions Joy Claypoole of Island School and Joshua Herr of Kaua‘i.
Kaycee San Agustin-Nordmeier of Waimea, Krista Schnackenberg and Heidi Herr of Kaua‘i, and Coral Vernon and Cassie Wilson of Kapa‘a round out the girls all-stars.
Schnackenberg, Wilson and Vernon are all freshman.
Ryan Perez and Dylan Morrison-Fogel of Island School, Mikey Rita and Travis Soares of Waimea and Austin Riemer of Kapa‘a make up the rest of the boys roster.
The KIF champion Waimea boys and Kaua‘i girls will compete in the Hawai‘i state cross country meet this morning on Maui.
