Paddlers will start at noon and paddle to Salt Pond, finishing to lunch and beverages following the race, said Tom Thompson of Kaua‘i Hoe Wa‘a Association.
Costumes are encouraged for this fun run.
Participation from stand-up paddlers and surf skis are also welcomed, according to organizers.
The fun run marks the start of eight events, most taking place on Sundays, from January through April, culminating with the Kaua‘i World Challenge, a 34-mile coastal relay, on May 12.
